Resource Drives at KARD

Laptops!

KARD would love to take that functional but obsolete laptop computer off your hands! We are collecting working laptop computers to donate to our community in Kenya. Laptops are easiest to transport and provide individuals in the Kibwezi community an opportunity to

• Learn marketable skills, such as typing
• Gain exposure to and familiarity with technology
• Expand capacity to conduct personal and professional business

Last year, KARD donated a laptop computer and printer to the Foundation Agency for Rural Development office. This contribution has made it possible for our sister organization to grow its network of supporters and gain access to more resources. All of this furthers KARD's mission.

Books!

KARD has registered a "wish list" with amazon.com. Search by our name, Kenyan Agency for Rural Development. The books and videos listed here represent what's needed to develop our community library at the Foundation Agency for Rural Development office in Kibwezi. Contributing to our library will provide community members with valuable information that they would otherwise be unable to access. Knowledge will empower people. People in Kenya are seeking resources about agricultural techniques, adult and child health, health epidemics, small business practice, and community development.

• Materials - books, videos, journal or newspaper articles, brochures, working computer equipment and software, and office supplies
• Services - printing, web support, fundraising, and project development administrative support
