Our Mission

In Kenya, the KARD mission is to help people help themselves. KARD focuses on the most fundamental and critical underlying aspects of this condition: sharing information, providing resources, and promoting self-sufficiency. In the United States, our mission is equally important: to generate awareness of and appreciation for our own resources. Based on the lessons learned from the Kibwezi community, we can be re-introduced to what is valuable in everyday American life. If we are successful in sharing this message, our hope is that individuals in our community will want to extend their resources to help those in Kibwezi help themselves.
